Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Digital Asset Lab collects, why, where it is kept and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers our website, the design asset shop and our studio tools (the Budget Planner, the Invoice Generator and the Site Tracker). We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Who we are
Digital Asset Lab runs digitalassetlab.in and the studio tools. For the personal data described here, we are the data fiduciary: we decide how it is used. Write to us at support@digitalassetlab.in.
Information you give us
- When you buy: your name, email address and phone number, and your order history. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we never see or store your card, UPI or bank details.
- When you join a mailing list or waitlist: your email address.
- When you contact us: what you write to us.
Studio tools: your account
To use a studio tool you sign in with your email address, either with a one-time link we email you or with Google. For your account we keep:
- Your email address, and your name if you sign in with Google. Google tells us only your name and verified email address; we never see your Google password, contacts or files.
- Which tools you have bought, with the payment reference and amount.
- The devices you are signed in on (up to three), described by your browser and operating system, and when each was last used.
- When you ask for a sign-in link: the time and your IP address, used only to stop abuse. We delete these records after 30 days.
Studio tools: your projects
Everything you enter in a studio tool, such as projects, budgets, invoices, site visits and your logo, is saved to your account so it can appear on each of your devices. A copy is also kept in your browser so the tool works without a connection. Signing out removes that copy from the device.
Your projects are only shown to people signed in with your email address. We do not read them, analyse them or use them for advertising. We open them only if you ask us to help with a problem, or if the law requires it.
Your clients' information
The tools let you record details about your own clients, such as names, addresses, phone numbers and GSTINs. For that information, you decide what is collected and why, and we store and process it only on your behalf, to run the tool for you. You are responsible for having a lawful reason to record it and for answering your clients' requests about it. We will help you do that, for example by exporting or deleting it.
Information collected automatically
- On the website: your IP address, browser, device, the pages you visit and the site that sent you. The website uses the Meta Pixel to measure visits from our adverts and how many lead to a purchase; it sets cookies and sends this to Meta.
- In the studio tools: one cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 60 days, and a short-lived cookie during Google sign-in. The tools have no advertising or analytics trackers.
How we use your information
- Processing orders, unlocking the tools you buy and sending download links, sign-in links and receipts
- Running the studio tools and keeping your projects in sync between your devices
- Answering your questions and fixing problems
- Telling you about new products, if you joined a list (unsubscribe at any time)
- Measuring our adverts and improving the website
- Preventing fraud and misuse, and meeting legal and tax obligations
Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the services that help us run Digital Asset Lab, each of which processes it on our instructions:
- Razorpay: payments
- Cloudflare: hosting for the studio tools, including your account and projects
- Netlify: hosting for the website and the shop
- Our email providers: sending sign-in links, receipts and the emails you ask for
- Google: sign-in, if you choose to sign in with Google
- Meta: measuring our adverts on the website
- Authorities: when the law requires it
Where your data is stored
Your studio tools account and projects are stored on Cloudflare's network, and website and order data with our other providers. Their servers may be outside India. We use only providers that protect data to a standard at least as strict as this policy, and we do not transfer data to any country the Government of India restricts.
How we protect your data
- Everything travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS)
- Sign-in links work once and expire after 15 minutes; we store them only in scrambled (hashed) form
- You can see the devices signed in to your account and sign the others out
- Access to personal data is limited to what is needed to run the service
How long we keep it
- Projects and account details: until you delete your account.
- Sign-in records with IP addresses: 30 days.
- Purchase and payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after you delete your account. They also mean the tools you bought are still yours if you come back.
- Mailing list: until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it
- Correct or update it
- Delete it, unless we have to keep it by law
- Stop using it for anything you consented to, such as marketing emails
- Let someone you nominate exercise these rights for you if you die or cannot do so yourself
In the studio tools you can do much of this yourself: the Account page lets you download all your data and delete your account. For anything else, write to support@digitalassetlab.in from the email address on your account.
Children
Our products are for professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and its date. For a significant change, we will also email people who have a studio tools account.
Grievances
If you are unhappy with how we handle your personal data, write to contact@digitalassetlab.in. We acknowledge grievances within 48 hours and resolve them within one month. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
